Here we explain how haplogroup R1 originated in Africa and spread to Eurasia.
Haplogroup E3b can be further broken down into a number of sub-clades, including E-M78, E-M81, E-M123, E-M281, and E-V6. If an individual does not fall into any of these sub-clades but still has the defining mutations for E3b, he is then in the ancestral group, E-M35* (Cruciani et al. 2004).

Haplogroup H is a human genetics haplogroup of the mitochondria. The Cambridge Reference Sequence (CRS), the mitochondrial sequence, all other sequences are compared with that belongs to haplogroup H. Haplogroup H is 40 % to 50 %, the most frequent mtDNA haplogroup in Europe. This haplogroup is also common in North Africa and the Middle East ...
The proportions of various human Y-DNA haplogroups vary significantly from one ethnic or language group to another in Africa. Data in the table below are based on genetic research. Each group sampled is identified in the second column by linguistic designation: AA = Afroasiatic , KS = Khoisan , NS = Nilo-Saharan and NC = Niger–Congo .

Haplogroup D2 (Y-DNA) is a child of Haplogroup DE (Y-DNA), which in turn is also the parent of Haplogroup E (Y-DNA). Haplogroup E (Y-DNA) occurs in very high frequencies in sub-Saharan Africa.
